Argh – random failures with 4219 expander

Argh – for some reason I am getting random Check 107/108/109

System Setup:
* Vista 21ip
* 3x 4219 zone expanders
* First zone expander wired into control panel; 2nd expander wired to the 1st expander; 3rd expander wired to 2nd expander
* All sensors are hard wire door and window contacts

Problem:
* The system was working fine for the first 1-2 days – now getting Check 107/108/109 messages
* I’m also getting Sensor Trouble from TotalConnect2

What I have checked:
* Verified all dip switches on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd expanders
* Verified all expanders wires are secure and tight
* Hard reset of the control panel

I don’t understand why the Check messages are random in when they occur? In other words – wouldn’t they occur immediately after reboot? (Right now they appear anywhere from immediately to a few hours later)

Any thoughts on other items to double-check?!?

All three expanders dropping out is likely due to communication with the expanders dropping out, for some reason. Depending on how many keypads and other devices you have tapping the aux power, you may be running into power draw issues.

Otherwise, try wiring them directly to the keybus (you may need to use a terminal strip) with individual wires, instead of daisy chaining them.
