DSC Power 832 PC 5010 - Zone Doubling

I had to default the settings on my alarm system as I was not in possession of any codes or manuals, and now it is not recognizing two zones (9 and 10).
I was able to find the installation manual and I believe I have most of the settings correct and the system is functioning as it should in all other respects.

I made sure the zones were defined in section 002 (01 - Delay 1), and made sure the zone attributes were correct in sections 109 and 110.

Is there some other setting I'm missing?

Thanks for any help...

Lanny

Are your zones actually doubled, using the doubling resistors, or did they add additional zones using the zone inputs on the keypads?

They appear to be doubled using resistors. As far as I can tell they are connected to zones 6 and 8, as these are the only zones where resistors are present

No, that's not how it would work. If the zones were doubled using a zone doubling resistor kit, zone 9 would share terminals with zone 1, zone 10 with zone 2, etc.

Check your keypads, I strongly suspect that two of them have wires connected to the "Z" terminal on the back of the keypad. Those will usually be for the door closest to the keypad location.

Your suspicion is correct - there is a pair of white wires on the keypad next to the back door, one doubles up on the black terminal and the other goes to the "Z"...

That did the trick....thanks for your help!

It turns out the manual I downloaded from the DSC website was missing section 2.11 regarding keypad zones altogether, and my programming worksheets had no mention of section 020.

I was able to assign the zones to each keypad and all appears to be working correctly now...

Thanks again!
