Alarm beam detector does not work

Hi,

I purchased this ALARM BEAM DETECTOR below from eBay but does not work
when 12v powers both Tra.& Rec.

I powered another make (Zin Zan) 8 years ago & still works OK today.

In the attached image 5, I connected a 12v 2A adaptor & a piezo buzzer but it does not work. The buzzer when powered separately works OK.

Image 9 shows my test rig for Transmitter & Receiver.

Can anybody point out what connections I should make in image 8 to make the buzzer work when the beam is cut.

Connect the + power lead on your buzzer to terminal 5. Connect the - power lead from the buzzer to terminal 2 with the incoming - power supply lead. Connect a jumper from the + power lead on terminal 1 to terminal 3.

Where was that made?

That '1' is backwards and the numerals are reversed.

Good luck with that -- Cannot say I would trust it.

For what it is..... or it claims...... it's only $20 US. Pretty inexpensive. Based on the price of beam detectors I use..... the quality is probably marginal and the reliability may be questionable.

The company is AILIF security technology from Guangdong, China
