cannot disarm w/ ws4939 fob/remote

I already have one fob and don't recall problems programming it. This is the second ( for the same system/panel) and I cannot make it disarm. Arming works.

What is the base system, and what steps did you follow to enroll the second keyfob?

1832 v4.6

804
42 (second key)
XXXXXX (ESN on back of unit)

I looked into 61,62 and they're both at the desired default
03, 04, 27, 30.

I don't know why there's a possible of 16key fob entries yet
61-68 has eight entries and 59-60 is only two. these are separate questions.

Are you using a RF-5132 receiver module, or an RFK-55xx keypad? The programming locations are different for the two different receiver systems.

TR5164-433 2 WAY WIRELESS Transceiver Module
I don't remember the keypad model but it doesn't have wireless capability.

On the receiver you have, the wireless key serial numbers are in (804)(101-116)
The key functions are in programming locations (804)(141-156)

Installer manual pages 18-20: http://cms.dsc.com/download.php?t=1&id=17079

PK5500 LCD is the keypad I have.

Following the manual pg9 "3.4 Manually Enroll Wireless Devices/Keypads"

So I entered 804 but then could not enter 101 as there were only 2 digits. Any ideas?

The hardware you list uses the instructions provided. There's no secret handshake, or hidden commands.

Either you are entering the commands incorrectly, or you don't have the equipment that you are quoting.

This is the manual for the 5132-433 receiver: http://cms.dsc.com/download2.php?t=1&id=13725

So I made the mistake of acknowledging the hardware. The transmitter is indeed 5132. My programming seems correct as well but the second fob's disarm doesn't work (arming does work).
I guess one can assume the fob is faulty...

I'm not certain where you are getting your programming instructions from, because the 5132-433 receiver doesn't _have_ programming locations 61-68.

I have a feeling that you are conflating the instructions from multiple different receiver configurations together.

yes you may be correct, although the default 4settings for the fob buttons were displayed correctly and were not programmed by me. As far as i can remember all i needed to do to setup the first fob was just the hex code. AnywayIi'll order a new fob to test because it doesn't make sense for just one button to not function.
thnx again for your patience and effort.

All wireless keys on a given partition share the same button assignments (programmed in programming location 59 (part 1) and 60 (part 2)).

I just tried 804 then 59 or 60 and neither of these two numbers are accepted noted by a long beep.

Try _this_ manual: http://cms.dsc.com/download.php?t=1&id=13075

(version creep, and non-North American complicates things...)

I kept the boxes of which the purchases came in.
Box says rfk 5132-433, reporting 903 says it's a PC5132. Both install manuals seem very much alike for programming the wireless keys.
A disclaimer, my keypad was purchased used- and I don't recall needing to reset it prior installing- not sure if this makes a difference.

I tested with yet another wireless key (3rd one) and it replicates the same fault of not being able to disarm (arming ok). I only have one zone.

I'm at a complete loss as to what's going wrong.

I'm going through the manual to see what I could learn in hopes to find the issue.
I'm curious what it means by closing/opening by wireless key.

"Closing" = Arm "Opening" = Disarm. If you are looking at the communicator programming, it's just a report code enabler.

Not sure what's glitching you out. I have, literally, never had this happen with dozens of DSC wireless configurations.
