The foolproof way is to disconnect the wires on that zone input and replace them with a 3.3k resistor (orange orange red). No programming necessary.

Keypad manual: Installer manual: https://www.surveillance-video.com/m...stallation.pdf

Adding transmitters is on page 6. You just need to know what zone numbers you have available. Each transmitter needs it's own zone.

Actually, the example in the installation manual is for programming a transmitter to zone 9, after that, you are just following the same steps with a different zone number.

I copied it from your previous question, and assumed that you had already downloaded the manual:

Assuming that you have never had a device on zone 9 and the keypad is RF keypad is set as keypad 1:

Step by step:
*8 installer code
192#
400#
9* (if you hear 3 beeps, then you already have something enrolled on zone 9 and need to select a different zone number)
Trip the transmitter by opening the battery cover. You should hear a "Ding-Dong" from the keypad.

You can use the [exit] key to exit programming.

Unless someone has altered zone programming, zone 9 is already enabled as an instant zone for partition 1.

Adding wireless contacts

Mr. Ron,
How many zones do I have on 192#,400#
I was able to put wireless contact on 14* and 15*, but anything above 15 beeps 3 times. I have 7 more wireless contacts I want to program. Thanks

A NX-8 is good for up to 48 zones. Double check your system board. Could you possibly have a NX-6? Those max out at 16 zones.

Wireless contacts

Mr. Ron,
I was able to program them again beginning at number 20. So now I have wireless receivers at number 9,10,11,12,13,14,15,20,21,22,23,24,25,26. How do I program them to read out location, like 9 front window, 10 bedroom window, etc.? Thanks for your help.
Ron

It sounds like you may have had devices, or failed programming attempts in those slots. If you are sure there's not actually a device on those zone slots, delete them. (installation manual page 8).

ftp://rrcs-70-60-240-226.midsouth.bi...%20Rev%20B.pdf

The instructions for programming zone descriptions are on page 11.

Naming a zone

Mr. Ron, can you go through the step by step to naming a wireless contact? Example name zone 10 side window. My master code is 7878. Thanks for walking me through the steps for programming the wireless contacts.

*92 [installer code]
At the prompt for message number, enter the zone number + #
Use table 10 from the manual to navigate the characters
  • * saves the character/word and moves the cursor to the right.
  • [CANCEL] moves the cursor to the left.
  • The up and down arrow keys next to the display scrolls up and down through the letters, numbers and symbols.
  • [STAY] Inserts a blank space.
  • [CHIME] Deletes characters
  • [EXIT] accesses the library of pre-generated words and phrases
  • [BYPASS] Makes the character/word flash
  • # Exits programming that message
