DSC 832 -> Lighting strike, Alarm no longer working

My DSC 832 with a zone extender was hit by lightning. One of the motion detectors was blown off the wall. I can see burn marks behind the PC1832 and the zone extender boards. I plug the system in and I get a keybus fault error on the keypad.

My plan is to replace the PC 1832 with a new one that I have first. I will plug all wires in the same spot of the old board on the new board. Then move on to the other components doing the same thing.

Anything wrong with my plan?

Just pay attention as you are connecting things. Any powered devices that are badly damaged (motions, smokes, etc) may crash the system and make it shut down; so check as you connect.
