DSC alarm system disarm volume control

Is there a way to turn down the volume of the upstairs keypad unit when you are disarming it from the downstairs one?
Every time I have to let the dogs out early, the beeping upstairs is very loud.

I can't remember how we adjusted it for the door chime years ago.

I have the pc5508 8 zone LED version per the attached
the manual says nothing, it's for a 632 system

thanks

Not all versions of the end user manual made this feature clear: http://cms.dsc.com/download2.php?t=1&id=13789

Press and hold the * key to adjust the keypad sounder tone.

It says to do that, but doesn't say HOW to adjust the volume
I held the * button and nothing happened last night

The LED ones don't let you know what you're adjusting very well.
But thanks for the better manual.

From the previously referenced document, starting at the bottom of Page 10:
Keypad Sounder Control
You can select from 21 different keypad tones. Use the arrow
keys (< >) to scroll to the desired keypad sound level and
press [#] to exit. This feature can be accessed on LED keypads
by pressing and holding the [*] key.

There are no arrow keys. I finally got it to work with the * button. It wouldn't do it last night, but I was also messing with the 'chime' button too.
