DSC Wt5500 Alexor Wireless Keypad

Just installed the Alexor wireless system yesterday The wireless WT5500 has the trouble light lit. Upon checking status says battery low even though the batteries I installed were in a new package with the kit. Changed out the batteries with two new different sets and still the same problem.. Is the keypad defective? The trouble status light is also lit on the main 9155 console and don't know if it is referring to the keypad or the main battery.

Have you given it 24 hours? Sometime, due to the way that battery test mechanism works, it may take a day to register a fully charged battery.

Did a hard restart and a soft restart and can not get rid of the low battery message. Main battery tests at 14.3 volts. Tried three different sets of batteries in the keypad. No luck. There are no wireless devices enrolled now. Can not get the Blue LCD screen.

Are you using the keypad on just battery power? I think the backlighting (that makes the screen blue) doesn't come on with just battery power (for power saving purposes).

Install manual for keypad: http://www.alarmhow.net/manuals/DSC/...on%20Guide.pdf

Thanks for the keypad information. Was checking the voltage on the main battery disconnected and found it was only 10.5 volts, so ordered a new battery.
