How to replace a 5800 Micra on a Vista 20SE via the 6160rf keypad?

I think I have a bad 5800 micra as I'm getting the annoying beep every 30 seconds or so with "Check Master Bedroom" on the 6160rf display. I have tried two new batteries with no improvement.

I have the programming manual and have done a lot of work on this unit over the ~17 years we've had it - but - I haven't had to touch it for about 5 years.
I seem to have forgotten everything I thought I knew before and find myself here again looking for more of the great help you all have offered in the past.

I think moisture is getting to the 5800micra but can't be certain.

Either way, I have a replacement micra but need to know how to replace one sensor for another.

I like that it is labeled as Master Bedroom Window on the keypad and want to keep that.

Can someone provide a step by step for me to follow?

Many thanks in advance.

Just adding that while I'm at it, I need to change the master code to disarm it.
Thanks in advance.

Changing the master user code is pretty simple:

[master code] + 8 + 02 + [new master code] + [new master code

OR

[Installer code] + 8 + 02 + [new master code]

Replacing the transmitter:

Go to programming
Go to *56
Go to the zone number
Use the * key to step through the entries until you get to Input S/N prompt
press * once more and change the loop number to 0. That will delete the existing serial number. Then you can enter the new transmitter into the system without changing any of the other zone programming information.
