(NG) Natural Gas Detector - DSC1832

Hello,

yesterday the natural gas detector alarm went off while my wife and I were in the house. there was no smell of gas. I tried to asses the situation to see if there was something that may have triggered the false alarm.

My wife had just finished a shower and was doing her hair with hair spray with the door open. The detector is right outside the bathroom door on the wall.

Is it possible to believe that the propellant in the hair spray somehow triggered the NG alarm? this is the first time this has happened.

Thanks!

Yes, aerosol can propellant can, and will, trigger combustible gas detection devices, especially if the conditions are right (high humidity, being one of them).
