DSC PC1616 extending wireless trouble
I have a PC 1616 and hooked up a 5132-433 receiver to it. when I look up the supervisory items, I am getting 01, 17, 20. so, 17 is the 5132, so, it should work, from what I can figure out.
i am trying to enroll a wireless device. zones 1 through 6 are hardwired and in use. ideally, i would like to just keep going with 07, next available zone. when I go to 804, 07, I am getting a long beep, so I cant use that I guess. I tried a bunch of zones, the only one I can use is 12. so, tried to enroll a window sensor by entering the 6 digit esn, got confirmation beeps. then went to 112 and turned attribute 8 on. then went to 001 and programmed zones properly.
trying to test the wireless window contact, but I cant trip it. never shows open. the sensor I have is a ws4945.
can anyone assist in figuring out why the sensor doesnt trip and why I cant enroll anything other than zone 12? seems like there is something wrong or I did something in the wrong order or forgot to program something?
thank you!

On a PC1616 only zones 1-6 are active by default. You have to turn on zone 12 in programming location 203.
For the other zones, view the programming locations and see if there are already serial numbers programmed in those locations.

I did turn in zone 12. I also turned on zones 7 - 11, just as a test. even set them up as wireless and tried to enter an esn, but as soon as I do 804 - zone number, I get a long beep. Are those zones reserved for an extension module, so that I cant use them, even when no module installed?
Now, the next problem is that I cant trip the sensor, or rather, I cant make the system see that the sensor is tripped.
Is there any way to test the sensor, if it's bad? although, I did enroll another one in the zone to test, if that was the case and the other one didn't make it trip either.
If the receiver is not wired correctly, could this behavior occur? or should the board just not identify that there is a receiver?
Just trying to identify where to look to start tracing down the issue

You are showing a 20 in supervision? That's normally a printer interface module (PC54000)
I'm just trying to figure out if you might have something connected that might be interfering with the wireless.
You are doing the following?
*8 [installer code]
804
xx (zone number)
Enter ESN (including HEX characters if used)
use # to exit wireless programming
Go to programming location 1xx and turn on the wireless attribute.

the 20 is most likely the envisalink from eyezon.
Yes, I did exactly what you described. the only problem I could think of - based on how the system reacts when I use a zone other than 12 is that the wireless receiver is not connected right. I can take the envisalink off tomorrow and try it and then put it back on and also re-connect the receiver to see what that gives me. cant fo ir now, need some sleep. lol
