Home security system
Hi to everyone in the forum, I recently bought a house and i has a security system installed, the Panel is safewatch pro 3000, with door sensors and smoke detector, the sensors are wireless. I do not have any of the passcodes only the beepers. I want to replace the system with a touch panel and be able to arm disarm with my phone while away from home, I would like to self monitor if possible, however I was researching on the honeywell lynx and its required a paid subscription in order to activate the wanted features using total connect. Any sugesstion on this system or a better one with those functions?? Will the installed sensors work or its preferred to replace the whole system??
Thanks in advance!!
Thanks in advance!!

i totally forgot how to change the code via backdoor but mr. ron usually knows those kinds of stuff. but if you want to add a touch screen to your safewatch you can install a tuxedo touch which replaces your keypad ! and for remote arming with no fee i would look into installing a envisalink 4. you will need to program the module and enable touch keypads first on a alpha 6160 keypad first. you will also need a bigger back up battery so it can power up the touch keypad.

Hmmm, letting them give you remotes without being clear on what your user master code is, isn't generally a good idea...
That said:
Start by powering the system down; both AC and Battery
Restore AC power, and within 50 seconds, press *+# at the same time.
The system should enter programming mode.
Enter #20, and the system will read back the installer code, one digit at a time (ignore leading zeros). Write that down.
Exit programming by pressing *99
To set new Master code enter [installer code] + 8 +02 + [new master code]
Do this in one smooth entry, because if you hesitate more than a couple of seconds between keystrokes, the new code will not take.
Test the new code by using it to turn the chime function on and off.
