PC1832 not responding with PC5108.

When I remove the three expanders, the system is fine and keypad works. When I add the three expanders and then start the system, the keypad keeps beeping but none of the keys work and the display is blank. I've ran tamper jumper on all the expanders. What am I doing wrong?

Install the expanders, one at a time. It's possible that you have one dud that's killing the keybus.

Assuming that you are using a base panel with a firmware version higher than 3.0, make sure you are setting the correct set of jumpers:

The first expander module was a dud. Replaced it and put the alarm online

Just got the PC5108 and are trying to add it to my system. Panel is a PC1832 and the sticker on it says Version "V4.23NA"
After installing the PC5108 I power up the panel and enter section 902 and waited the 1 minute. Then enter 903 to verify the module. It does not show up. The only items I see are my three keypads.

More info: I'm using 9 zones on my current panel. not really sure for the jumper settings on the new PC5108.

Has anyone ran into this problem before?

Since you are using 9 zones (I'm assuming that you are using a keypad input), your best bet is to start with zone 17. That would be (ON OFF ON, for J1-J3).
