Question Delete Wireless Zones from NX-6

NX-6 Control Panel originally with 6 hardwired zones and 2 NX1300E LED Keypads.

One keypad went out and replaced it with NX-148E-RF and added 3 wireless devices (PIR Motions).

NX-148E-RF died and now replacing it with a NX-1308E LED Keypad.

I'm looking for some help in how to delete wireless Zones 7,8,9 from the panel since I won't be using them any more.

I have a NX-6 Control Panel Installation and Startup manual but it is greek to me.

Help!!

The wireless programming information is contained in the wireless receiver, so removing it pretty much leaves those zones inert. After a power cycle, you system should show normal.

Thanks for the advise! I really appreciate it.

By power cycle, I assume that you mean disconnect the backup battery and unplug from a/c for a few minutes. I did that and after powering back up, the ghost zones still show as bypassed when I go to stay mode, so it must store that info in the control panel? Looks like I need to be able to go into programming mode with the "program code" which i know and de-program tzones 7,8,9 so that the panel doesn't think they are there? Problem is, I can get to program mode but can't figure out how to get to the zones to zero them out. If you can provide me those steps I will be grateful.
Thanks for your help so far!

Oh, since you had the PIRs programmed as one of the "interior follower with auto bypass enabled" zone types; the autobypass feature will just bypass them. If you don't want to see those zones displayed, just change the zone type back to instant (zone type 6) for those zones.

NX panels don't have a "null" zone type.

Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction!

My background, many years ago, was computer programming so I did eventually spend enough time with the NX-6 Control Panel Installation and Startup manual to be able to reprogram the panel location 25, seg 7 & 8 to Type 6 and the same for location 27, seg 1 to Type 6.

Tested stay mode and all seems well.

Thanks again!

Half of the trick is knowing which location is relevant. These systems have a lot of options that are rarely used in residential installs.
