DSC KeyPad SCW 9057 G

I am putting together this system for use, have had it for a while. I am not intending to use the phone/cellular feature.

ISSUE: I cannot seem to disable the cellular, I get the error message "ALT Comm. Issue-Alternate Communication Cell issue" and of course, the constant yellow triangle.

What I have Done: I have tried the following, but when I issue these commands, there is no "7" listed to remove. (*8, Installer code, 015, then look for "7" and type "7" to remove.)

I have the software on my PC, DLS 5, I can communicate with the panel. So I can either do things manually or via the software.

Can some one tell me what I am doing wrong?

You need to disable communicator also in *8, installer_code, section 380, option 1 should be off and you need to disable alternate communicator in section 382, option 5 should also be turned off.
So in section 015 option 7 must be off, in section 380 option 1 must be off and also in section 382 option 5 must be off.
If communication error persist, try powering down and back on panel - sometimes the only way to remove communication trouble on DSC panels is by repowering the panel.

So this worked perfect on a 9047 panel I have, but when I tried it on the 9057, it did nothing. I Get the same error. I even unplug power, disconnected battery and let it set for a while.

Any more thoughts? Would a Master Reset do anything?

Not familiar with DSC but it looks like a different panel or maybe an upgraded version of the 9047. As features are added (or deleted), program locations or values can change. Sometimes option values change.

KriKron seems very familiar with this panel. Maybe he will be around later with a definitive answer.

KriKron had the correct instructions: https://cms.dsc.com/download.php?t=1&id=17242

Are you _sure_ that you are actually getting into system programming?

EDIT: I think that you have to physically disconnect the communicator's ribbon cable, because the communicator being plugged in overrides some programming settings: https://cms.dsc.com/download.php?t=1&id=25593

Thanks, Mr Ron FL I have that printed.

So I am a Dumb A$$! I just re-read KriKon's post. There are 3 command changes, I had only done 2 of those! I had not done the 382 section!

All is well now! Thanks!
