DSC PK5500 LCD keypads - programming
Are the zone labels for these displays stored in the keypads not the panel?
Does this mean I have to program each keypad separately (I have 4 at the moment)?
One has the Words option, the other seem to not, is there a way to update the pad's firmware?
Is there a shortcut to doing all these keypresses? (I have about 12 zones to do)
Thanks,
Dave.

If they are all PK5500 keypads, there is a command to broadcast the zone descriptors out to all the other keypads on the system. In the keypad manual, look on page 3 and the second paragraph on the left column: https://cms.dsc.com/download.php?t=1&id=16949
There is a label library feature with common terms.

Thanks for pointing that out. I found that, did that. worked great.
I also realized that I needed to assign each to a slot, just did that. And a Supervisory Reset.
Now I'm trying to figure out why the AC light doesn't come on on these other pads. They are v1.2.
I have one v1.3 pad that I'm doing most of the work on. It does everything as expected.

You need to do keypad programming (*8, installer_code, *, section 077, options 5&6 ON for green AC light ON) on each keypad.

Thanks, Option 5 was the key, as it's default is off. One more mystery solved onto other fixes.
