Dsc keybus issue

This happened as I was leaving for vacation and having my brother in law check it out.
it started when I was shutting the water pump breaker off. I accidentally shut off the alarm breaker. When I went upstairs, it acted like the key pad won't power back up. It now has a key bus error saying to call for service. We shut the breaker off for a few minutes and still acts like it won't power up.
Any ideas? I am not sure what the model number is but can have him check
thank you

It always helps to know the model of the Control Panel (not the keypad). The CP lives somewhere in a steel cabinet, usually in a closet or utility area. The model should be on a diagram inside the cabinet door; sometimes printed on the outside of the door.

That being said, the first thing that comes to mind is the Control Panel's battery (12 Sealed Lead-Acid (SLA), either 4 Ah or 7Ah) is very likely dead or so weak it might as well be dead. Those batteries should typically be replaced every 3 to 5 years, more frequently if you have a lot of extended power outages.
