Honeywell 6160 LCD screen

I have honeywell 6160 keypads. When I disarm the alarm and open a zone f,or the first time, the screen lights up and displays the zone which is good. However if I open another zone, the screen does not light up making it difficult to see which zone it is, unless I am close enough to read it. Any way to have the screen light up each time a zone is opened? Thank you. Ron N.

If your base system is a Vista 20p, then no, you have no options to change how the backlight behaves.

You have multiple 6160s and they all behave the same? If so, it's unlikely to be the keypads. Not aware of any settings to cause/change this - could have an issue with the panel (power/defect/damage)?
What panel do you have?
