Kill the tamper alert feature on 5808W3 Wireless Smokes?
Anyway to program my Vista 20p to disable entirely the tamper alerts on 5808W3 SD's?
I have about 10 throughout the house and its seems unnecessary that if I need to change a battery in one of them I get a tamper/trouble alert and my CSM gives me a call.
I have them set as ZT9 & Loop 1
I get the feature in a commercial setting but its useless for me in my residential home.
...and yeah I know I should just put system in Test mode first but that doesn't really answer my question.

From an aging memory:
IIRC, there is no programming for the tamper. But there is a tab on the mounting plate that is removed to enable the tamper.
Some of the above is from experience.

The best (and only) choice is to call your central station and put the account on test before you service it. There's no disable for that feature. Once that plastic tab is cut off of the base, there's no putting it back.
