My dusk to dawn light is out. Bulb is good for sure.Has power. How to test the cell? Ive got a meter to test it with but not sure how to do it.....normally Im an appliance repair man but havent run into a washing machine with one on it yet.

Never done it before but what about continuity with a light source? There should be continuity through the eye with no light to allow the light to work and no continuity with a light source to turn it off during the day. Or is there more to this circuit than I am aware of?

we have the arm to open and close the gate, the transformer, need to know if a regular automotive keyless entery hook up will work to open and close the gate, before we buy one.
