DSC Wireless Key WS4939 - Disarm button not working

I had to reset my RFK5500 Keypad and now both of my Keyfobs no longer disarm the system either during an exit delay or when armed after enrolling them. All of the other buttons work as expected. I did not change any settings on the 1832 and checked the 804 sections and the Wireless Key command (27) for disarming. Any ideas where I may be missing something after resetting.

If you defaulted the keypad/receiver, and put the serial numbers back into the same slots you had them in, the the default keyfob button assignments should be working.

What keystrokes did you enter setting things back up?

I suppose you that in panel you have enabled option [017][1] Wls keys use access codes.
If my memory serves me correct, on DSC, access codes are both stored in panel and in wireless expansion/keypad.
Since you reset keypad with built in wireless expansion module, access codes in it are erased and it must be programmed again.
Enter user code programming by entering: *5 (master code) and user 17 for keyfob1...user32 for keyfob 16. No need to change the code, just exit programming with # # and it should now arm fine.

Thanks for the replies. The Key Fob was added fine to the RFK5500 and the 1832 Panel. There are four buttons on each of the Key Fobs and only the "Disarm" button does not work. Since it is happening across both Key Fobs, there is some setting that is not allowing the (27) command to Disarm. I have cleared and renterd the serial numbers manually and still same issue. Arming Stay, Arming Away, Panic, all work as expected.

The only setting that I can think of that inhibits the disarm function is location 021 option 6, which can inhibit keyswitch and keyfob disarming so that it only works during entry delay, but only if the option is turned ON.

Basically, if you have not changed any of the system options associated with arming or user codes, that button should function just as the others do.

Just checked and section 021 all options 1-6 are disabled. Very strange indeed. May have to reset the panel and RFK and start from scratch.

I'd start with just the keypad, then the main control. One odd quirk of the DSC design, is that one can make an accidental change in one of the unused "for future use" programming locations, and it will create this kind of intractable glitch.

Zonker Harris have you tried entering *5 user programming section and verify (and re-save) that there is valid user code 17 for keyfob 1 (and 18 for keyfob 2).

Or if you dont want to link keyfob to users, you can enter installer programming *8, enter section 017 and disable option 1. Now both keyfobs will be able to disarm system, but in the event log you cant know exactly which one disarmed the system.
