Help re-enrolling old wireless recessed door sensor to security system
While troubleshooting my system, I deleted a wireless recessed door sensor from my system, not realizing how hard it would be to get it back. It's an older system (20+ years) and uses an Interlogix Concord 4 panel with an alphanumeric touchpad. I've been able to enroll and re-enroll other wireless devices without any problems. I'm guessing this one works a little differently, because I'm not seeing any switches that can be used to trigger it, and the battery doesn't come out. If I knew what brand or model it is I might be able to find some information. Hoping someone here will recognize it and can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance for your help!
That's a really old model. What is the number that is on the side of the battery?
Normally, the learn trigger for that type of contact is to start with the magnet in the closed position, then open it.
On some models, taking that plastic cover off the housing is the learn trigger.
Thanks for your reply. The number on the side of the battery is either 00-06, or 90-00, depending on which way you turn it. I tried the obvious first, just opening the door, but that didn't work. Then I tried a few different things that I found online (opening and closing the contact 3 times, turning the top 1/8th turn counter clockwise, taking the top off, etc.) To no avail. I may end up just having to replace it.
Since GE/Interlogix/ITI are gone now, finding any information about their older products is very difficult.
Your best bet is to get a newer transmitter that works for that receiver. Even that will be "new old stock".
I've got a Vista 20p setup and typically it's running fine. Occasionally it ignores the entry door delay and the alarm goes off immediately on door open. I can't figure out why it would do this. I'd think even if the magnetic sensor were bad, it would trigger the 30 second delay and not go off immediately. Any ideas?Read More
I presently have an Amazon Blink System that I am not thrilled with its performance. I would like to go with a system that stays on 24/7, works off my smart phone and notifies me when movement is identified along with being hard wired. Done with the battery powered systems. Any brands that you could suggest would be very appreciated.Read More
