Remove wireless sensor from zone

I have an Ademco 6150 control panel connected to a Visto 10E. The control is complaining about a 5816 remote sensor. Is there a way to remove this sensor from the list so i can continue to arm the system without having to keep bypassing the remote sensor?

Have you checked the battery in the sensor? What error are you getting?

I changed the battery - no change. The panel indicates a fault on zone 17. It also indicates a fault on zone 6 although (this suddenly showed up a few days after it complained about zone 17) Note: I don't even have a zone 6 on the list created by the original installer

When replacing batteries in wireless transmitters, it's always a good idea to short the terminals on the transmitter, before installing the new battery. This depletes any charge remaining in the transmitter, ensuring a "new start" which should clear anything in the panel. It won't help if the transmitter is bad.

Since I am long past being decorative, I do try to be useful.
