Ademco Lynxr announces which door is open...

My Ademco Lynxr announces which door is open, in addition to the usual chime beep. I don't care for that. A simple chime beep is all I want when having chime "on". I looked through manual but didnt see exactly how to remove the voice designating what window or door is open. Can someone direct me to that? To reiterate: I want just the beep when in chime mode, not the voice.

It looks like all or nothing..........

CHIME KEY: Turns the Chime mode on and off.
When on, any entry through a protected delay or perimeter zone while the system is disarmed
will cause a tone and voice descriptor to sound at the keypad.

Been a while since i worked with one of these, but i *think* you can just clear out the voice descriptor in zone programming. I don't have a manual in front of me but should be fairly easy.

I pulled up the manual just now and looks like you would enter the number 99 for the voice description, which erases whatever was previously programmed.

You have to do it in *84 programming, for each zone. Problem is, I think it will still announce the zone by zone number.

Do you have the installer manual: https://www.avss.net/PDF%20Files/Ademco%20Lynx%20RI.pdf
