Question

I have three different makes of outdoor security lights with motion sensors. Occasionally one of these will be switched on manually and the automatic function ceases. This results in no security lighting until I stumble upon the magic formula for re-setting the lights. Since I've never been smart enough to write down any of the magic formulas, here I am again--in the dark. Can anyone provide the most common magic formula(s) for resetting these lights? This time I promise I'll take notes.

Thanks

Sensors

If your security lights are plugged into the mains power supply via plug and socket then the easiest way to reset the automatic sensors is to switch the lights on and off within two seconds thereby resetting the sensors, do the same to disable the sensors. If, however, the lights are wired directly into your mains power supply then all I can suggest is you switch off and then on the main power supply switch and this might reset the automatic sensors on your security lights. It's worked for me before now.
Good luck.
