Alarm magnetic alarm contacts in vinyl windows?

I have builder grade Andersen operable casement windows throughout our new home that is currently under construction. I'm told that installing recessed magnetic contact for alarm systems voids the warranty? What type and how do you recommend installing contact closures for security system purposes?

When I install magnetic switches and magnets for Anderson windows, I use a flat type of switch with a flange for screwing into the base of the window. The piece of casing covering the handle mechanics can be removed. I surface mount the switch onto the window base just below this casing. The switch gets installed onto the bottom of the window. When the window is closed, the two lineup and won't be seen once you replace the casing removed earlier. This seems to work best. The switch on the window can also be glued on with the double sided tape provided with the switch. Therefore, no holes are drilled into the vinyl.
