Ademco Lynxs Installation

HI, I bought an ADEMCO LYNK wireless system for my house, and have some basic questions for the physicall installation that I couldn't tell from the manual. DO I need tha magnet to make the window/door sensor work? ( 90% sure) would like someone to confirm. DOes it really matter the orientation/position of the sensor? IN a 1200 SF one story house, is the reception going to be good enough to put the keypad anywhere in the house? Can I use something like EPoxy to stick the sensor to the door/window frame,can that interfere with the signal? If anyone has any advice or tips with the installation I will appreciate it. Thanks.

 

you need the magnet.it should not matter how you place the magnet as long as it lines up with the sensor.try to centrally locate the panel in the house for best reception. dont use epoxy on sensors it will eventually dry up and sensor will fall off causing a false alarm( most likely in the middle of the night) use flat head screws

 

It was way over a month I thought nobody was going to reply, thanks for your help. Thankfully I started shopping around and found a company that would monitor for a reasonable amount and sent someone to install it at no charge, so I got a good deal with my system, even including maintenance for the same price ! so thank you for taking the time, and who ever reads this, look around it seems to be a very competitive market and don't pay the first price you see, it will always be too much.
