Whats the average age of Electrical apprentices in Canada and Us, im just wondering as im coming from the Uk with my electrical qualification and a few years under my belt. I will be looking at maybe doing an apprencticeship when i get there, im currently 25 Cheers Ian

I have contacted a few recruiters to help me in finding a job. These are fee-paid-by-the-employer recruiters. Two local recruiters I have recently contacted have a statement in their contract that they want me to sign. It says something to the effect of: If they are directly or indirectly involved in finding me a job and I accept and then back out of it or if I take a job and am not in it for at least 90 days through no fault of the company, I am responsible for the fee that the placement service charges the employer. This is for a technical position. Is this the industry standard? Should I steer clear of this type of recruiter? I've dealt with out-of-town recruiters in the past and have never heard of this.
