Career change help
I'm 39 and have been employed fulltime for 10 years with the same company as a supervisor. My dilemma with my current employer is the hours that I work, mostly nights and weekends. This keeps me from attending lots of family functions and kids' after school activities. I've tried to move out of the shift that I'm on, but it appears I'm stuck here for some time. My pay is better than average for the market that I'm in, but I've got to get out of this field of work for the sake of my marriage and kids. I haven't had to look for a new job or career in a very long time. Where do I begin ?

Start with looking at companies that do what your current company does. Employment services may help you find something in your field with the hours you want. If you feel you make higher wages now for the field you are in, you may have to take a pay cut. Look at Supervisor positions everywhere. Some companies only want supervisory experience and will train you in their way of business. Good luck.
