resume ??? did not graduate college

I'm working on my resume. I did not graduate from college, although I have 140 credits, but not enough in a major to graduate--- unless I get a "general studies" degree, which sounds stupid to me.

So how do I list college at the bottom? Do I just put attended these years or what? Thank you.

Most companies want to know your educational background. List your number of credits and the subjects they were received in. Good luck.

Have you considered finishing your degree going part-time?

First off, your major is not necessarily all that important. Many employers just want to know you have a degree. If you can have a degree now, I would get it. If you don't like the sound of "general studies" degree, go back and finish a major. Either way, list what you have. For now, indicate you have 140 credits and how close this makes you to graduating (the number of credits is meaningless because different schools have different systems - my B.A. took 36 credits while my doctorate was 240 at a different school).

yes, list the years you attended, the number of hours completed, and highlight the more impressive subjects you've studied, or the ones that would be the most applicable to the job you're applying for. also list your current GPA (if it's good).

and definitely get the General Studies degree if you can. the fact that you went all the way through college & completed a degree - no matter what the major - is what impresses employers. just that you set a goal, stuck with something & completed it. depending on the job you're trying to get, the specific major might not matter. many people aren't working in the areas of their degree.

these days, an undergraduate college degree is as basic as a high school diploma was in the "old days". get that college diploma!!!

You just put the college you attended, the major and the years to and from you were there. I am sure if you go on an interview the education portion will come up and you just be honest.
