vinyl siding problems

I recently had an expense vinyl siding placed in my house that was built 25 years ago. This is dutch lap siding that looks like cedar. This siding started to buckle as soon as it was installed by a professional. Any ideas as to why this is happening? Hope someone can help me with this.

Sounds like it was nailed too tight, or the pieces were not lapped correctly or are too long. Vinyl needs room to expand. When it's nailed, it shouldn't be nailed tight. Vinyl sidin is hung not installed. Get the contractor back out there.
