Installing Hardi trim

Hey,
I'm lookingto reside my home using hardi plank. Would you recommend installing corner boards over the ends of the planks, or put the corners on first and but the siding to it and caulk?
thanks

Personally I prefer installing the cornor boards first and butting the planks to it. To me this has a better look. The other way is more forgiving than this way. You have to be more exact in measuring and cutting when butting the planks to the cornor boards.
