closing basement vents?

DO i NEED TO SEAL UP BASEMENT VENTS? dOES GET COLD IN iDAHO 1ST hOUSE HELP

Hi:girld

Never close up nor seal up an air vent regardless of where it is or how cold it gets.

Daily temperature changes are enough to cause moisture to build up under there. Which will then allow mold and mildew to form, causing much worse problems like wood rot.
