Exterior door weatherstripping

The rubber weatherstripping on the bottom of my steel doors is torn and needs replacing. It looks like the rubber itself is somehow inserted into a metal brace that fits flush on the door bottom. Besides taking the door down to work on it, is there a way to remove and replace the rubber from the brace?

Before you attempt to remove the old weather-stripping, first get a replacement for it. If they don't have your make at the home improvement stores in your area, try searching the web for the manufacturer. Once you get the replacement, it will have instructions to how to install it. This will usually give you an idea on how to remove the old weather-stripping without taking down the door.
