New construction caulking question

Our painters have been caulking our exterior windows. Our home is all masonry. For some reason they have only caulked the tops and sides of the windows - can someone please confirm for me that they should have caulded the sill also?

TIA

Karen

Are you talking about they are installing new construct windows in your home? If yes, they shoudl've caulked around all sides before setting the window.

If your talking about the windows already being installed, house is sided/stuccoed and they are painting the exterior, I would say they should caulk the under side of the sill as well as tops and sides. as far as the actual sill itself it may depend on window design with the wee holes for drainage. If you plug/caulk over those you will have probelms when it rains since the water will not drain properly.
