Window Shrink Install

Does the distance from the actual glass to the shrink wrap make any difference in the overall results. I can put the double sided tape around the wood trim on the outside of the windows and do one sheet or each window individual but much closer to the window itself. Does a bigger air pocket give better results?

My instinct would be that a bigger space would be more effective, but I don't know by how much or whether it's even worth worrying about.

I would attach it where it can be most easily removed in the future. Kits like that are notorious for leaving the tape stuck when you try to remove it. If possible I would attach your tape sheet on something not wood. Condensation may form between the glass and plastic sheet and you don't want it pooling at the bottom on wood where it could cause damage.

Thanks for the info, will attach closer to window and pass on putting the tale on wood.
