Older House
We live in an older house that we are renting. There are large windows in the front all the way to the ceiling that leak cold air. What would be the best way to weather strip these?? Without having to spend a lot of money

Hello: smartiehouse
Without knowing the exact type and style of windows, best suggestion and lowest cost choice would be to purchase and apply self adhesive backed window and door weatherstripping.
This product is sold in prepackaged and comes in various widths and thicknesses. It can be purchased at any local hardware store or in hardware departments of most stores.
Caulking is another alternative, depending upon window type etc.
Another potentail option to use with either of the above is heavier curtains and or draperies, if possible.
More expensive alternatives are a possibility. You may have to inquire within another forum on this web site that deals with draperies and window coverings.
