Best Plant

I live in northeast Oklahoma and wanting to plant a tree that does not require a sunlight. I want something that will mature at approximately 15' high. I am considering a Japaneese Maple, but they take too long to mature. I have read that Autumn Cherry trees grow well in my climate, but my daughter says that give off a bad aroma. I have been told that magnolias need direct sunlight. Any thoughts?

You might check with your local county extension service for the best local information to answer your question.

Go to your local plant nursery, too. People there will know how to help you.
