choice for bushes

Have had yews on the front of the house for 25 years, deer never ate them until last year and pretty much did them in. Area faces the south and would like to replace them with something that will stay green all year and maybe grow 3 feet high and spread but.....be on the "don't eat menu of a deer". Any good suggestions as to what to look for?

Hi:

I have had great luck with boxwoods. As I remember, they have something that deer do not like and boxwoods usually stay green. Another advantage is that they can be pruned to whatever shape/size you want.

Good thought, do have them in front of the front porch and yes, they do stay green but would like something other than that for the rest of the front area.
