Evergreen border trees

I'm looking for suggestions on evergreens for a border along a road. I'd like it to grow 3 to 6 ft or around there. Most be durable and deer proof.

I suspect that you have not received any answers because what you want is pretty much impossible. Planting the trees close enough together to provide a barrier will cause them to be way too close when they grow. Further, evergreen trees do not stop growing at any convenient height.

You MAY be able to plant a privet hedge and achieve your goal but it IS far from maintenance free. I ended up killing mine off because of the work in maintaining it.

Look at Google images for examples, use privet hedge for the search term.
