Unhappy swamp bearing replacement.

First off I am a liitle ignorant as to if I am calling this the right thing. I am trying to replace the piece where you squirt the oil in. I think it is the bearing. It is on the non pulley side. I can't get the end of the shaft off. I am not even sure where to turn. There is a big lip on the shaft end that has a tiny hole in it. Is this where I turn to remove or is it further up the shaft? Please help me not to have to call a professional!

I've never seen anything like you describe. Could it be a stop to prevent shaft from moving sideways? Does the tiny hole have an allen screw in it to hold this "lip" on the shaft?

bearing replacement.

I am not sure what this "CAP" is for but it stops me from sliding the bearing onto the shaft. Yes there looks to be an allen screw in there but it seems stripped I tried and tried with an allen wrench and coud not budge it.
