Install swamp cooler first or re-roof first?

Although i am not doing this work myself i still need to know which one to do first. I've been told opposite advice from the roofer and the person installing the cooler. Does anyone have advice on which should be done first?

Id say best for the base for the cooler be build on the roof and roof it in. Then the cooler set right on it

Bleeder T-connectors?

Hello, I have 2 swamp coolers on my house. I've tried them with and without bleeders, and the pan looks about 500% better at the end of the season when I DO use the bleeder. My problem is that the plastic T-connectors don't seem to make it all the way through a season. So what I'd like to find is a brass, stainless, or Teflon T-connector, or anything else that will last, or even a cheap source of replacements - anything is better than having to buy the entire bleeder kit just for that one connector! The O.D. measurements of the T are roughly 0.50" x 0.18". Can anyone help? Thanks, Bill

How good are swamp coolers?

Will be building a +/- 3000 sq. ft house in Western Colorado, near Grand Junction area. Though the house is at 7200 feet, it can still get a little warm during the summer. A lot of houses in the area use swamp coolers. Being from te east I know little about these things. Could someone educate me about these things? I understand the principle, but would like to know how effective it might be in the area I'll be building?
