Mastercool 7000 bought from lowes how to wire a low voltage thermostat
I'm trying to help a friend of mine, he had a old swamp cooler that had a control board inside it that tied in with a low voltage thermostat upstairs, the new mastercool 7000 swamp cooler doesn't have a control board just 110 volt wiring, so he called mastercool and they told him that he could use this thermostat that he has and now I'm trying to figure out how to make it work, I cant find any schematics on line for this. I understand how the 110 volt thermostat is wired and I beleive this is my only option but trying to avoid running wires through house to upgrade to 110 volt t-stat, so does anyone have suggestions on how to use a 24 volt t-stat, or is it just not possible?

You can mount the old control box in the new cooler, the only thing you would have to do, is replace the motor cord because the old mastercool motor, uses a mini plug setup. Just remove the cord from the old motor and put it on the new motor.
If you dont want to use the old control, you can go to Lowes and buy the Dial brand low voltage control kit which will also come with a nice new digital thermostat.
If I were you, I wouldnt go through the hassle of running a line volt thermostat, not when you already have a low volt setup ready to go.
