What is called the paste to fix rusty swamp cooler

I am looking for a paste to put on the surface of a rusty swap cooler like shown in the pictures below.

What is called this paste and where to buy?

Thanks

Not sure what you mean by fix but Naval Jelly can be used to remove rust.

Wire brush and a rust converter (any hardware store or home center) then use a spray cooler coating. It's sort of like an automotive undercoating. Ideally you'd take the pan off the bottom to do the best job.

The " WORKS " household cleaner will neutralize the rust so it can be successfully painted.

Brush loose rust away, spray it and in about 24-48 hours rinse with water, dry thoroughly, prime and paint.

Probably has phosphoric acid or something similar in it. You can also buy "metal prep" which does the same thing.

That and "The Works" are made for minor rust stains in sinks and toilets due to hard water. You need to use the metal prep or a rust converter as was mentioned earlier.

Once you remove the rust, prep the surface and apply Por 15 to it. That's the best stuff on the market, most commonly used to paint chassis on cars.
