Nominal rate for swamp cooler water pump
Hello. I have an old Adobe-Air swamp cooler, Model RD43, that has been working just fine for the past 24 years. I'm planning on changing the water pump, Model EP200. I cannot find the gallons per minute rate for this pump. There are so many types on the market right now. The new pumps have numbers like 5000, 7500, 11000 and 15000 and show their GPM rate How do I translate these numbers to equal whatever EP200 is rated? Most websites do not carry or show the EP200 any more. How can I determine, using the above mentioned numbers, which pump to use to function normally for my swamp cooler. What would happen whether I go too high or too low in GPM with the operation of my cooler? Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks (PS I live in the High Desert of SoCal).

The large number represents the CFM air delivery of the unit.
Your model calls for a CP200B pump which is a 200 GPH pump.
It can be directly replaced by a 7500 pump at 375 GPH
I believe Depot sells a similar 7500 model.
