Help with Bonaire Durango 4500

I let my husband talk me into buying an evaporative cooler, after we went to his aunts house and her house was nice and cool on a 108 degree day. We bought the Bonaire Durango 4500 and I donít feel like itís working at a 100%. Itís been 100-109 here lately and the coolest I can get our house is 84. Also itís 80 degrees at almost 11:30pm here right now and my house is still at 80 degrees, with the swamp cooler running. Our humidity is between 5% - 20%. Should it be doing better? Are there simple hacks we can do to improve it? Any help is appreciated!
