Evap cooler blower wiring

2 speed cooler blower with automatic controller (dial). I have and auto thermostat and controller for my evaporative cooler. It has 2 speed blower. It automatically switches speeds from low to high. I would like to have it only on low speed when the thermostat turns it on and keep it on low till it turns it off. My thermostat does not have that option in cool mode. Can disconnect the hi-speed wire or ?

Welcome to the forums.

You could disconnect the high speed wire but the thermostat would still want to change speeds.
When you disconnect the high speed wire..... you would cap the wire going to the motor. The other half of the wire would go to the low speed wire too. This way whether hi or low was activated.... only the low speed would work.

Pete, Thanks for reply. I would disconnect hi-speed wire from motor to controller and connect both Hi and low wires from controller to low-speed wire of motor.
