Swamp Cooler fan/blower doesn't turn easily

When I turn my cooler on the round blower/fan that's driven by the motor's belt turns a bit then stops, turns a bit then stops, and continues with this. There is a loud knocking noise when the blower stops each time. So there is something that the blower seems to be hanging up on as that and the belt should be continually moving. I changed the motor out last year. I hadn't seen this happen before with my cooler. Any ideas? Thanks for any help!

Sounds like the bearing for blower is bad. Need to get up there and check.

If its not a motor bearing.... it may be a blower bearing.
Are they greaseable ?

I replaced the bearings a couple of years ago. I will look tonight and see if they need more greasing. I was told at one point that it takes very little greasing for these units but I seem to be adding much more than a couple of drops a few times during the summer.
