Evaporative swamp cooler water leakage
I have Champion Master Cool Evaporative Swamp Cooler in the Shop
We bought this property last year and it came with a big RV/Garage/Shop metal building
The swamp cooler was installed suspended from the garage back wall
I turned the cooler on 2 days ago and it seems to be working okay
I don't know when the previous owner installed the system and I don't know how long was used or when was the last time it was used.
Yesterday I noticed that the gorund under the unit was wet and water was driiping form the bottom of the unit where it has a pvc tube with a shotoff valve than ends on the gorund drainage spout.
What would couse this leakage? I moved the pvc tube and it felt loose
The PVC tube looks old and dry. Could it be that there is a crack somewhere inside the unit where this tube is connected?

Welcome to the forums.
There is a water recycling tank inside that the roto belt either passes thru or collects the run off from the water directed onto the media. It could be a leaking drain fitting. It could be a leaking pump fitting.
The systems are very simple so it shouldn't be too hard to see what's leaking with a visual inspection.
