Aluminum on frieze boards

Hey everyone,

I'm getting ready to install aluminum soffit and fascia on our house, but I'm not sure what to do about the 6" frieze board that wraps the entire house underneath the soffit. One person told me I can use aluminum fascia to cover this, but the only thing I can find has the raised gutter ridges on it. I think I'd rather have smooth for my frieze boards, but I'm having trouble finding this kind.

Does anyone have any advice on what I can do/use? Has anyone used the fascia with the ridges, and does it look OK? Do I need use aluminum coil and find and rent a brake? Hopefully that would be my last resort.

Thanks for any help you might have!

Monty

You would have to check around and see if you can find a company that does custom bending or you would have to rent a brake and do it yourself.
